PhD position at National Herbarium of The Netherlands

The National Herbarium of The Netherlands, Leiden University branch, has

announced a vacant position for a PhD-candidate in Plant Systematics

(see here)

It is current policy now that the candidate himself/herself works out a research proposal for his/her PhD project and applies with this proposal together with the other necessary documents

(see announcement).

The candidate will finally receive the PhD degree from Leiden University. In the Netherlands PhD students have four years to complete their PhD; the appointment is for one year first and can be extended for another threeyears after evaluation.

Deadline is February 16th, 2009.
